QR Code Generator

Create QR codes for links, text or Wi-Fi networks for free. Choose colors and error correction, then download PNG or SVG. No sign-up.

How to make a QR code

  1. Type or paste a link or any text. For a Wi-Fi code, switch to Wi-Fi and enter the network name and password.
  2. The QR code updates as you type. Change the colors or error correction if you like.
  3. Click Download PNG for documents, slides and social media, or SVG for print, where it stays sharp at any size.

Always test the downloaded code with your phone’s camera before printing it. The codes are created in your browser, never expire, and work forever, because the content is stored in the code itself rather than on a server.

Wi-Fi QR codes

A Wi-Fi QR code lets guests join your network by pointing their camera at it, without typing the password. Print it for your home, office, café or rental. iPhones and Android phones recognize these codes in the built-in camera app.

Which error correction level should I choose?

  • Low (7%) – the smallest, simplest code. Good for screens and clean prints.
  • Medium (15%) – a good default for most uses.
  • Quartile (25%) / High (30%) – the code can still be read when part of it is dirty, scratched or covered. Use these for outdoor signs and stickers.

FAQ

How much text fits in a QR code?

Up to 2,953 bytes at Low error correction, which is about 2,900 letters of English text, or fewer for other alphabets. In practice, keep codes short: long content makes the code dense and harder to scan, so use a short link for long URLs.

Can I use these QR codes commercially?

Yes. They are free to use for any purpose, with no watermark and no sign-up.

Why won’t my colored QR code scan?

Scanners need strong contrast: a dark code on a light background. Light codes on dark backgrounds and pale colors often fail.
